Violet Rodgers Brown, 90, of Salisbury passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Liberty Commons Nursing Facility.
Born December 31, 1922 in Greenville, SC, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Louis Cameron and Alma Rodgers.
A homemaker and seamstress, she retired from Rockwell Casket Co. She was a devoted member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she was active in all phases of the church, including the Lutheran Church Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Brown and daughter, Judith Elaine Brown.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Roger and Judy Brown of Salisbury; daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Skip Harris of Salisbury; sisters, Dot Burris of Goldsboro, Joyce Menius of Salisbury; grandchildren; Shannon M. Brown, Cassi Barringer and husband Daniel, Nick Harris; great-grandchildren; Christian Barringer, Preston Barringer, Noah Barringer.

Visitation: 1:00-2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church
Service: 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2013 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Norris.
