Carol Ann Chavis

Carol Ann (Avins) Chavis, age 50, of Richfield passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 24, 1968 in Rowan County to late Carolyn B Avins and the late Henry D Avins.

Carol was a free spirit. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and family trips to the beach. “God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be, He wrapped his arms around you and whispered “come to me”, You didn’t deserve what you went through so He gave you needed rest, God’s garden must be beautiful. He only takes the best.”

In addition to her parents Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin J Chavis and a brother Ralph Avins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Arthur L Watkins, III (Jennifer) of Harrisburg, Joseph D Chavis (Kimber) of the residence, Brandon J Chavis of Rockwell, Brian A Chavis (Sherrie) of Rockwell and step son; Daniel W Chavis (Suzanne) of Sumter, SC; brothers; George E Avins of Rockwell and Robert Rainey (Patty) of Gold Hill; grandchildren Callista, Chloe, Elijah, Silas, Aiden, Jaxon and Liam; and a large extended family.

Celebration of life service: Will be held at 2pm, April 7, 2018 at Woodleaf Baptist, 7790 Woodleaf Road, Woodleaf, NC.
