Clara “Pat” Benson Bozay, 94, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born on October 1, 1923 in Salisbury to the late Fannie Hudspeth Benson and the late John S. Benson.
Pat was a graduate of the 1940 Class of Boyden High School, and was a veteran of the US Air Force where she served in Germany. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She was employed as a stenographer at various places including the Pentagon. Pat and Eugene enjoyed traveling all European Countries except Belgium.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brady Barbee, Jr. and was the last surviving of 5 siblings
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Bozay whom she married December 21, 1960; nieces, June Gregory, and Bette Coulter; nephews, Don Myers and Gary Myers.,
Visitation: 10:00 AM –11:00 AM Friday March 23, 2018 at the Chapel in the Pines at Rowan Memorial Park.
Service: 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard
