Frances Hardister Trexler March 03, 2010
Frances Hardister Trexler, 90, of Gold Hill, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at The Laurels of Salisbury. She was a loving Christian wife and mother.
Born August 12, 1919 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Bertha Blalock Hardister and Oscar R. Hardister.
A graduate of Badin High School, Mrs. Trexler retired from Wiscasset in Albemarle. After retirement, she was a care giver for many years.
She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Fred. H. Trexler, who died in 1967; two brothers, Robert and Jennings Hardister; and two sisters, Bertha Banks and Betty Harbin; and a grandson, Tommy Brown.
Survivors include daughters, Annie L. Ingram (Johnny) of Charlotte, Mary V. Rufty and Frances T. Goodnight (Ronald), all of Salisbury; brother, Joseph Hardister (Irene); five grandchildren, John Ingram, Angelia Cook (Dwayne), Van Brown (LuAnne), Jeff Brown, and Ronda White (Elliott); and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service: 11:00 AM – Saturday, March 6, 2010 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Rev. Gary S. Coble will officiate. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
