 Billie June Bynum March 12, 2010
Billie June King Bynum, age 77, of Salisbury passed away Friday, March 12, 2010 at her residence.
She was born August 3, 1932 in Rowan County, NC the daughter of the late Harvey E. Sowers and Agnes Parrish Sowers Eller. A 1950 graduate of Gray High School in Winston-Salem and she was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Bynum was a mother, grandmother and sweetheart wife.
Preceding her in death was her first husband Whalen L. King on December 12, 1974.
Survivors include her 2nd husband Wilton D. Bynum; sons Michael L. King (Jackie) Winston-Salem and Lamarr King (Barbie) Statesville; daughters Lori K. Rapier (Jim) Wilkesboro, Toni Simmons Mt. Holly, Joni Bynum (Joe) Raleigh and Billie Wells (Greg) Belmont; cousin Joyce Brady Salisbury; uncle Harry Parrish Salisbury; Her 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one on the way were the greatest part of her life, along with Bill; she was very caring and supportive to the people she loved.
Visitation: 7-8:30 PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Lyerly Funeral Home.
Service: 2:00 PM Sunday, March 14, 2010 at James C. Lyerly Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom Blackburn. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
