Timothy Dale Leonard

Timothy Dale Leonard, 68, of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.

Born in Tokyo, Japan on December 27, 1955, he was the son of the late Pauline Mitchell Leonard and Harlan Miller Leonard.

Mr. Leonard was a veteran of the US Navy and US Army. He attended Western Carolina University and worked in sales.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Leonard Price.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sherry Basinger Leonard, whom he married on December 29, 1981; son, Steven Matthew Leonard; daughter, Ashley Leonard Hennessee; mother-in-law, Beverly Basinger and six grandchildren.

A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144, with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Services Honor Guard.
