Eunice Foster Goodman



Eunice Earlene Foster Goodman, 79, of Salisbury, peacefully went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her residence. Death was unexpected.

Eunice was born April 5, 1938 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Bertha Williams and Cecil Coleman Foster.

She was a 1956 graduate of Granite Quarry High School. In her early years she worked for Roses Department Store and retired from Belks after 25 years. Eunice enjoyed Brave’s baseball, Panther’s football, Alabama football, and pulling for Kyle Busch. She loved Jesus and her church family, and people in general.

In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Daniel Goodman, who she married on September 28, 1958. They were married for almost 52 years before his death in September 2010. She is survived by a son Charles E. Goodman of the home, a cousin, Clarence Foster (Judy) of Salisbury, in-laws, Pauline Young of Linwood, Georgia Hoskins (Buddy) of Wilmington, and a number of nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. And also her beloved cat, Trouble.

Visition: 1:00-2:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2018 at Southside Baptist Church, 500 Morlan Park Road, Salisbury, NC 28146

Service: 2:00 PM, Monday following the visitation with the Rev. Robin Albright officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
