Arnold Lyerly Kluttz, 92, of Salisbury passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at the North Carolina State Veteran’s Home.
Born in Rowan County on May 9, 1925, he was the son of the late David Luther Kluttz and Bessie Lyerly Kluttz.
A veteran of the US Navy, Arnold served in WWII, achieving the rank of Seaman First Class. He worked as a loom fixer at Cannon Mills #7. He also painted for over 30 years and was an avid gardener.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucille Goodman Kluttz; children, Winfred Kluttz (Tina) of Salisbury, David Kluttz of Salisbury; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 2:30-3:30 PM Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Arbor Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 5545 Woodleaf Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
Service: 4:00 PM Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Arbor Methodist Church with the Pastor Craig Sefa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites performed by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
