Bertha (Moore) Upright

Bertha Moore Upright, 83, of Salisbury went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Magnolia Gardens in Spencer, NC.

Born in Rowan County on September 19, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Martha Gunter Sherrill and William Jasper Moore.

Bertha was a graduate of Cleveland High School. She worked in textiles and did housekeeping. She was a member of North Gate Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Upright, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Bill Moore (Bell) of Woodleaf; sisters, Mary Sue Leonard (Bud) of Woodleaf; granddaughters, Carrie Upright of Salisbury, Rachel Upright McHarge of Statesville and three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Landon, and Layla.

Visitation: 12:00-1:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2018 at North Gate Church, 1255 W Ridge Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.

Service: 1:00 PM Friday at North Gate Church with the Rev. Ken Koontz officiating. Burial will follow at Needmore Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Gate Church Building Fund.
