Carol Steelman, 75, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury.
Born in Rowan County on February 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Melva Sowers Lowman and Howard J. Lowman.
Carol was a graduate of Boyden High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Steelman, who passed away on January 29. 2011; son, Jerry Wayne Steelman and daughter, Lisa Lynn Brown.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Terry Steelman (Paula) of Rockwell; daughters, Barbie Stoner (Ken) of Rockwell, Melanie Carol Henderson of Advance; grandchildren, Joshua C. Coggin, Jeremy W. Coggin, Justin M. Stoner, Brittany L. Henderson, Megan D. Steelman, Bobby Curlee; great-grandchildren, Jillian G. Coggin and Jenna R. Coggin.
Visitation: 1:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
Service 2:00 PM at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with the Rev. Sy Ponds officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rowan Memorial Park Lakeside Mausoleum.
