Carolyn Call Burkett, 82, of Salisbury passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Rowan County on March 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Graham and Wiley Call.
Mrs. Burkett was a graduate of Mt. Ulla High School, where she played basketball. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah’s Witness West Congregation.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Ratliff.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Elder Edward “Eddie” A. Burkett of Salisbury; daughter, LuAnn Ratliff (David) of Salisbury; grandchildren, David A. Ratliff, Sr. (Danielle), Darrell Ratliff, Sr., Brandon Freeman; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Ratliff, Darrell Ratliff, Jr. and Phoenix Marie Ratliff.
Service: 6:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3401 Old Concord Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146 with Elder Jerry Blackwell officiating. A visitation will follow the service.
