Dennis Neil Honeycutt, 60, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Born in Rowan County on November 25, 1958, he was the son of the late Kenneth (Butterbean) Honeycutt and the late Kitty Robertson Honeycutt.
Dennis attended Faith Baptist Church and was a graduate of East Rowan High School. He was employed as a bus driver with the Rowan County School System. He enjoyed fishing and the coast, was an avid sports fan especially the East Rowan Mustangs.
In addition to his parents Dennis was preceded in death by his wife Linda Robbins Honeycutt on April 13, 2010, and also a brother, Keith Honeycutt.
Those left to cherish his memory are his Fiancee, Bonnie Thompson, brothers, Dale (Sandy) Honeycutt of Gold Hill, Jeffrey (Terri) Honeycutt of Faith, Thomas (Sally) Honeycutt of Faith, uncle, Zane (Anna) Robertson of Granite Quarry, nieces, Ansley Honeycutt, Kristen Honeycutt(Tyler Sizemore) Jessica Honeycutt, Allison Safrit, nephews, Eric Honeycutt (Brandy Hunt), Jason Honeycutt, Jordan Honeycutt, fiancee’s family, Emily (Matt) Melo, Lauren (Neil) Castelloe, Andrew, Owen, Frankie, Kaylee, and Mark.
A visitation will be held Thursday December 6, 2018 from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 8630 Hillcrest Dr., Rockwell, NC 28138 with a Celebration of Life Service being held at 6:00 PM with the Rev. Matthew Laughter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East Rowan High School “Booster Club” 175 St. Luke’s Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
