Elizabeth (Knight) Jackson

Elizabeth Knight Jackson, 85, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Pageland, SC on July 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Fronia Nicholson Knight and Jarvis Knight.

Mrs. Jackson worked in the textile industry and was a homemaker after retirement. She was a former member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Pageland, SC. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains and to South Carolina to visit family, and loved playing games on her computer. She was the last surviving sibling in her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Eugene Jackson, Sr., seven siblings, and son-in-law, Alexander Keith Osborne.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Perry E. Jackson, Jr. (JoAnn) of Salisbury; daughters, Wanda Jackson (Danny) of Silver Spring, MD, Elizabeth Elaine Osborne of Salisbury, Shirley Jackson Miles (Bobby) of Granite Quarry, Sandy M. Rogers of Rockwell; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10:30 AM-12:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 12:00 PM Thursday at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. Steve Holshouser officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
