Grace Gallimore Sutphin 79, of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her residence in Cleveland.
Grace was born December 9, 1939, the daughter of the late James T. Gallimore and the Late Nanny T. Craighead Gallimore.
Grace was a homemaker and a Pentecostal by faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she loved her children and grandchildren. She was one tough lady and will be missed by many.
Gone but never forgotten, Loved, by many and will always live in our hearts.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Ernest Sutphin Sr., daughter, Patty Sutphin Dove, son, Jerry Wayne Sutphin, grandson, Jessie Chas Sutphin, brothers, Charlie Payton, Frank Lee, Fred Warren, Elmer Junior, William, Al, and Harry. Sisters, Margaret Welch, Frances Whipkey and Lucy Pope.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Charles Sutphin, Jr. (Debbie) of Climax, Richard Sutphin (Dana) of Cleveland, brother, Tommy Gallimore of Kernersville, sisters, Edith Whipkey of Randleman and Gladys Joyce of Cleveland, Six Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 12:00 – 12:45 PM at Hope United Pentecostal Church, 901 S. Main Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
Service: 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Hope United Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Nathan Turner Officiating, burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell, NC
