Hazeline "Lottie" (Holshouser) Sams

Hazeline “Lottie” Holshouser Sams passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019. She was born in Rowan County on October 25, 1925.  

Hazeline was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Sams; mother, Virgie Holshouser; and sisters Garnell Smith, Jean Overman, and Novella Fink.

She is survived by a son, Bobby (Peggy) Sams of Rockwell; daughter, Pamela Ward of Salisbury; and sister, Della Rusher of Orlando, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great  grandchild.

Hazeline loved her family and church family at Messiah Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Messiah Lutheran Church, 701 E. Lafayette St, Salisbury, NC 28144. A service will follow with the Reverend Donald Safrit officiating. Burial will take place at Rowan Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Nazareth Children’s Home, PO Box 1438, Rockwell, NC 28138 .
