Helen Lynette Hedrick Wilson, 84, of Edgewater, FL passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Lexington on June 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Lee Hedrick, Sr. and Letha Bell Beck Hedrick.
A graduate of Linwood High School, Helen worked as a secretary at Carmon Wilson Lumber Company. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and volunteered for the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Rowan Regional Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon A. Wilson, whom she married on June 24, 1952; brothers, Harold, Dwight, Sr., Paul, T.L., Hoyle, Odell and C.J.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, A. Dean Wilson (Patsy), Douglas L. Wilson (Becky), J. Duane Wilson (Bernice); grandchildren, Deanne Lansat (Jeremy), Gwynne Shoaf (Jeff), Jerry, Kim, Darren, Alicia and Deidra Wilson, Laura Iserman, Traci Sartori (Anthony); great-grandchildren, Jadon, Eden and Adelyn Lansat, Sophia and Lucas Sartori and Barrett Shoaf.
Service: 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144 with the Rev. Gene Bruce officiating.
