James "Buddy" William Tutterow, Jr.

James "Buddy" William Tutterow, Jr., went home to be with his beloved Savior and went fishing with Jesus on Monday, January 14, 2019.

Born in Rowan County on December 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Sadie Trexler Tutterow and James William Tutterow, Sr.

James was a member of North Main Baptist Church, where he was active in all church functions, including the Bill Davis Bible Class. He was an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sylvia Gayle Lester Tutterow, whom he married on August 22, 1960; son; James William Tutterow, III of Granite Quarry; daughter, Virginia “Jenny” Harrington (Charlie) of Salisbury; sisters, Scottie Sue Klieber (Gary) of Salisbury and Rosalie Wilson of Oak Island; grandchildren, James William Tutterow, IV, Catherine Greeley (Dean) and Jasmine Tutterow; great-grandchildren, Jacob Mishak, Kayla Mishak and Braiden Coley.

Visitation: 10:00-11:15 AM Friday, January 18, 2019 at North Main Baptist Church, 1501 N. Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144.

Service: 11:30 AM Friday at North Main Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dale Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
