Jeffery Edward “Nim” Nimmer, 62, of Salisbury, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2018, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born on June 6, 1956, in Fond du Lac, WI, he was the son of the late Gladys Will Nimmer and Harvey Edward Nimmer.
Jeffery was a graduate of Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac, WI and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a metal fabricator and at Dan Nicholas Park in the Gem Mine. He enjoyed woodworking, rock collecting, fishing and loved his cats, Yankee and Luna.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Polster Nimmer, whom he married on June 10, 1978, and his brother, Gary Nimmer of Fond du Lac, WI, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Southside Baptist Church, 500 Morlan Park Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.
Service: 12:00 PM Saturday at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Robin Albright officiating.
Inurnment Service: 9:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018, at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
