John G. Dunn

John G. Dunn, 84, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at his residence.

Born July 30, 1934, in Cullman, Alabama, John was the son of the late John Dunn and the late Flora Ayers Dunn. 

John worked with McCrory’s retail sales. He graduated from Bessemer High School in Alabama. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church.  His first hobby was taking care of Kate and second was finding deals at yard sales.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kate Dunn, whom he married on March 7, 1951, Children, Johnny & Vickie Dunn, Debbie & Gary Kinley, and Mike & Tammy Dunn; sisters, Darlene Moore and Joyce Loose (Jerry); along with Grandkids and Great Grandkids.

Service: Visitation  will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, 3760 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC  28146, with service at 12:00 PM with the Rev. Steve Holshouser officiating, burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery,  4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC  28144.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “The Building Fund” at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church, 3760 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC  28146.
