Jon Lawrence Wulf, 52, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his residence.
Born in Des Moines, IA on May 31, 1967, he was the son of the late Barbara Wulf (step father Patrick Wulf) and Harold “Sonny” LaDoux.
Jon grew up in Des Palines, IL and attended middle and high school in Huntley, IL. He married his wife Dorene on September 8, 1990, and the two lived in Carpentersville, IL, Wonder Lake, IL and Woodstock, IL before moving to Kannapolis, NC. He worked for almost 30 years as an auto body repairman, working his way up to supervisor, then running shops as a manager. He coached Little League baseball for many years with his son and was a “Pops” to many of his son’s friends, including Brian “Cheeks” Mueller, who was like another son to Jon. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears, the White Sox, NHRA Racing and he loved the beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Grace LaDoux, Robert and Gertrude Wulf, Harry and Dorothy Stark.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorene Wulf; son, Timothy Wulf (Arika) and grandson Aspen; brother, David Wulf (Sara); sister, Erin Wulf; mother-in-law, Paulette Taylor; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Taylor (Melissa); nieces, Courtnie and Kaila; great nieces, Shaelynn and Kinliegh. Many other relatives survive.
Service: 4:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Living Water Church of God Fellowship, 166 North Little Texas Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 with Pastor Wade Easom officiating.
