Leonard Roscoe Persons, 67, of Salisbury passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2018.
Born in Cortland, NY on July 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Mary Alice Swarts Stanley and Lewis Eugene Persons.
Leonard worked at Auto Zone before retiring due to illness. He loved working on cars, the Tennessee Volunteers, and enjoyed watching hockey and wrestling. His favorite saying was “If you find someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Millie; brother, Paul and stepson, Leonard James Blevins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Ann Persons; sons, Jonathan Persons (Trudy) and Justin Persons (Sandra); daughters, Megan Clay (Jeremy), Susan Darrow (Robert) and Shannon Perez; sisters, Sharon Sloan (David Dehne, Jr.) and Lolien Rae Munson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 3:00 – 5:00 PM Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Westlawn Memorial Park Shrine of the Good Shepherd, 1350 S Main St, China Grove, NC 28023.
