Lewis Frank Rabon

Lewis Frank Rabon, 83, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Rowan County on August 20, 1934, he was the son of the late Nellie Grace Lloyd Rabon and Lewis Paul Rabon.

Lewis worked as a loom fixer at Cone Mills. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at Ellis Crossroads, where he was a member of the Men’s Sunday School class. He loved camping, traveling, working with wood, gardening. He enjoyed going to yard sales and was a big collector of many items.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Blackwell Rabon, who passed away on July 17, 2005; daughter, Sharon Faye Rabon; sister, Eula Viola Clark.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Shelia Livengood (Chris) of Granite Quarry, Vickie Lynne Rabon of Bristol, VA; stepson, Michael Matthew Bova (Carol) of Statesville; brother, David Junior Rabon (Linda) of Advance; sisters, Ruth Robinson of Salisbury, Ruby Parker of Spencer, Judy Head of Salisbury, Barbara Nance of Salisbury; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:30-3:30 PM Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2255 E. Ridge Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.

Service: 3:30 PM Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Rick Cockerham officiating.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
