Margaret (Stokes) Holshouser

Margaret Stokes Holshouser, 93, of Gold Hill passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Rowan County on May 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Carrie Trexler and Moses Marshall Stokes.

Mrs. Holshouser worked as a seamstress before retiring and was a dedicated member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus Holshouser, Jr.; son, Rick Charles Holshouser; daughter, Marion Leach; sisters, Marie Hauser and Edith McIntyre; granddaughter, Eugenia Ann Brown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gene Holshouser of Orlando, FL; daughters, Phyllis Ingram (Ronnie) of Salisbury, Revonda Goodman of Salisbury; brother, Marshall Moses Stokes (Hazel) of Rockwell; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 830 Choate Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 1:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Worley officiating. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, 8675 US Hwy. 52, Rockwell, NC 28138.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church.
