Mary Durrette Obituary

 Mary Durrette, 82, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 to be with her loving husband of 61 years.

Born in Rowan County on May 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Fannie Evelyn Trexler and Adam Ray Eller.

Mary was a 1954 graduate of Spencer High School class of ‘54 and traveled the world with her husband, a veteran of the US Air Force. She was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Durrette, Jr., who passed away on May 15, 2017.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Theodore Durrette, III (Ann) of Glen Burnie, MD and Timothy Dana Durrette of Salisbury; daughter, Wanda Collins (John) of Williamsburg, VA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 1:00-2:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2380 Long Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Service: 2:00 PM Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Insley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church.
