Richard "Dick" Harold Estey, Sr.

Richard “Dick” Harold Estey, Sr., 80, of Concord passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Liberty Lane Hospice House at W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center.

Born in Hartford, CT on November 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Mary Hart Estey and Harold Estey.

A veteran of the US Navy, Dick retired from Stegall Plumbing in Charlotte after 20 years of service. He was an avid hunter, loved to garden and was a creative inventor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Kirk Estey; daughter, Robin Estey; brother, Bernie Estey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cecilia Corne Estey, whom he married on June 16, 1984; daughter, Rebekah Lowder Doolittle; granddaughter, Julia Estey; grandson, Ben Estey; brother-in-law, Bobby Corne (Candy Burris) of Oakboro; daughter-in-law, Heather Hanley Estey and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 2:00-3:00 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Eastside Church, 10132 Harrisburg Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215.

Service: 3:00 PM Saturday at Eastside Church with the Rev. Alex Barefoot and the Rev. John Parker officiating.
