Alan Bradley Trexler was born to Mary Louise and Lawson Craig Trexler, who resided on West Ketchie Street in China Grove NC, on November 18, 1954. He was their second child and was welcomed hardily.
The family moved to 5570 S. Main Street at a Salisbury address in 1958 where he lived until he enlisted in the Marine Corp. He was injured during training and was a disabled veteran for the remainder of his life.
He attended China Grove Elementary, China Grove Jr. High, and graduated from South Rowan High School in 1973. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in China Grove.
Upon return from enlistment he met and married June Rimmer. They lived on Swink Avenue in Salisbury until they relocated to 6115 Southern Lane. During this period of time, he fathered two boys, Eric and Alan, who are currently living in Hickory NC.
He had a great interest in fast cars and practical jokes. He passed on to his sons his interest in cars.
He spent the last few years of his life confined to Davidson Health and Rehab, a rehab facility in Lexington, NC.
He had a tumultuous life and finally succumbed to the ravages of such on November 2, 2024.
He is survived by his brother Stephen Trexler of Raleigh, his sons Eric and Alan of Hickory, and numerous cousins and friends.
