Anis Vada (Maners) Boyd

Anis Vada Maners Boyd, 81, of Rockwell, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Born in Galax, VA on March 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Maners and the late Ruth Maners.

Anis dedicated her career into the service of others – first, as a Registered Nurse at the Health Department and later the V.A. and various hospitals from as far across the country as Albuquerque, New Mexico as a travel nurse. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, decorating birthday cakes, tending to her beautiful flower garden, and attending band concerts and dance recitals. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

She was preceeded in death by her parents and loving husband of almost 56 years, Bobby Louis Boyd. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Alan S. Boyd (Carolyn) of Rockwell, Barry L. Boyd of Salisbury, and Brad L. Boyd (Crystal) or Rockwell; daughter, Jennifer Boutwell (Shane) of Monticello, MS; brother Roger Maners; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Service: 10:00 AM Friday, May 27, 2022 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 2570 St. Peter’s Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146 with the Rev. Jim Bernacki officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
