Anne (Yount) Lentz

Anne Yount Lentz passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 87.

She was born on August 25, 1938, to the late Mary Lee Lawrence and Richard Luther Yount.

Anne graduated from Salisbury Business School and began working at the Piedmont Research Station for 30 years where she retired. She and Jerry took many farm tours throughout the US, sponsored by the NC Extension Service and the Rowan Chamber of Commerce.

After Jerry’s death she helped David on the family farm with angus beef cattle and making hay crops. She also worked with planting and harvesting small grains. Anne especially enjoyed rescuing stray and abandoned animals and giving them a permanent home.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lentz and her son David Lentz.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law Debra Lentz, as well as numerous nieces, a nephew, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday November 15, 2025, at Back Creek Presbyterian Church, 2145 Back Creek Church Rd, Mt Ulla, NC 28125.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to The Humane Society of Rowan County HSRC, P.O. Box 295, Salisbury, NC 28145-0295.
