Obituary
Arthur “Lee” Wehmeyer, 64, of Salisbury passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Born in Vicksburg, MS on September 10, 1958, he was the son of the late Shirley Smith and Edward Wehmeyer.
Lee was a graduate of Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, MS and attended Hines Junior College. He was always a hard worker and provider. He was of the Catholic faith. Lee loved to cook and entertain. He enjoyed growing a garden to use for his cooking. He liked to go fishing, traveling, and talking to people about everything. Lee loved living life to its fullest with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and always deeply loved.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory are his partner, Sandra Walton; son, Christopher Lee Wehmeyer; daughter, Caitlin Burchette (Tim); brother, Edward “Bubba” Wehmeyer, Jr. of Pearl, MS; sister, Deborah Carole McFadden of Raymond, MS; grandchildren, Cameron Thompson (Katy), Luke Burchette, and Noah Wehmeyer.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
