Berneice Atkins Guyton

Berneice Atkins Guyton, 80, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
Born in Scotland County, NC on December 27, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Fannie Mae Evans Atkins and Dewey Corbitt Atkins, Sr.
Mrs. Guyton graduated from Bladenboro High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Guyton, who passed away in 1997; son, Ronald Guyton; brothers, Frank, Dewey, Leo, and James Atkins; sisters, Eula Smith and Shirley Post.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Angela Guyton Pence (Tim); sister, Hazel Byrd; grandchildren, Jackie Pence, Nicholas Pence, Sarah Guyton, and Matthew Guyton; great-grandchildren, Justin Pence, Gage Truman, and Aver Guyton; best friend for 50 years, Vida Myers
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.
