Billy Darrell Jacobs

Billy Darrell “Pops” Jacobs of Mocksville passed away on Wednesday January 31, 2024, at the age of 71 at his residence.

He was born on November 10, 1952, in Rowan County to the late Ruth Fry Jacobs and Robert “Boots” Jacobs. He was a hard-working man delivering mobile homes for both Tidwell and Carolina trucking companies. When he wasn’t working you could find him on the back of his trike heading to Cherokee or Myrtle Beach.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Earleen Goad Jacobs who passed away on June 26, 2011.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons Darrell Wayne Jacobs (Kasey) and Caleb Jacobs of Mocksville. His daughter Krystal Jacobs (Steven Bell) of West Virginia; his brother Kenneth Jacobs (Nancy) of Gold Hill; his sisters Shirley Moon and Joyce Peterson (Wayne Freeman) of Salisbury; his four grandchildren Alexis, Kattie, Kendal, and Kyle; and his 4 great-grandchildren Avaline, Hailey, Abigail, and Briar.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm on Monday February 5, 2024, at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm. Officiating will be Pastor Ian Pace.
