Bobby D. Black, II

Bobby D. Black, II, 53 of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in Concord.

Born in Albemarle, NC on May 12, 1968, he was the son of Bobby David Black and the late Linda Sue Linker Black.

Bobby graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College with an associate’s degree and worked as a material handler at Freightliner. He was an active member of the NRA who loved firearms and cars. He loved Fords, especially Mustangs – but his Boss 302 was his favorite. Bobby was an artist, a great craftsman, a skilled carpenter and electrician. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son - he was a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Sue Linker Black; maternal grandparents, Duree Brown Linker and Marvin Woodrow Linker; paternal grandparents, Homer David Black and Martha Measimer Black.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karen Ann Turman Starnes Black, whom he married on August 25, 2007; father, Bobby David Black; son, Joe Starnes and wife Jasmyne of Concord; daughters, Christina Black Page and husband Timothy of Louisiana, Sarah Starnes of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ally Black of Rock Hill, SC; sister, Lisa Honeycutt and husband Eddie of Rockwell, NC; grandchildren, Jaelyn, Jordyn, Brayden, and Rowan; a host of nieces and nephews and fur babies, Sam, Lilly, and Slick.

Visitation: 12:00-1:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at World Hope Worship Center, 2203 Mooresville Rd., Salisbury, NC 28147.

Service: 1:00 PM Saturday, May 22, 2021 at World Hope Worship Center with Bishop Dennis Clodfelter and Pastor Nasby Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
