Bobby Warren Daniel

Bobby Warren Daniel, 79, of Salisbury passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Mecklenburg County on September 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Addie Mary Margaret “Jean” Daniel and William Carver Daniel.

Mr. Daniel served in the US Marine Corps and the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a jungle expert and demolition expert in the military and loved his time with the 82nd Airborne. He received a bachelors degree from Catawba College and worked at Cannon Mills for over 20 years until the mill closed. He was a collector and loved books and history. Mr. Daniel had a degree in anthropology and loved hunting arrowheads. He was also an avid sports fan, especially the Braves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Eudy.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dianne Earnhardt, whom he married on June 28, 1970; daughters, Melissa Daniel of Greensboro, NC, Bobbi Flynn of Winston-Salem, NC, Mindy Daniel and Kodi Gibson of Moravian Falls, NC. He was the beloved grandfather of Hunter Gibson, Tanner Gibson, Tristan Frink, Annabella Flynn, and Gabriella Flynn.

Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144 with military honors performed by the Lyerly Volunteer Joint Services Honor Guard.
