Bobby Ray Kepley

Bobby Ray Kepley, 85, of Salisbury passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on January 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Ellen Cordell and Carvie Kepley.

Mr. Kepley was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church in Linwood, NC. He was skilled in numerous construction trades. He founded and managed Bobby Kepley roofing and construction company for 50 years. Mr. Kepley was a loving father, tender and kind, what a beautiful memory left behind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Lytle Kepley; second wife, Marlene Messick Kepley; son, Danny Ray Kepley.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jeff Kepley (Tammy) and Carvie Kepley (Rachel Matthews), both of Salisbury; daughters, Pam Forrest (Steven) of Woodleaf, Susan Chapman (Jerry) of Marathon, FL, Cathy Kepley of Shelby, and Melissa Kepley of Salisbury; sister, Mozzell Goodman (Gary) of Shallotte; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pam Forrest and Rachel Matthews for their loving care over the last year.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Smith Grove Baptist Church, 3462 Sowers Rd, Linwood, NC 27299. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
