Carol "Bonnie" (Menius) Casper

Carol “Bonnie” Menius Casper, 80, of Salisbury passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born in Rowan County on August 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Loree Safriet Menius and William Marvin Menius.

Bonnie was a 1957 graduate of China Grove High School. She worked as a secretary for Loeblein Brothers Furniture for many years until they closed, and then worked for W.A. Brown. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Bonnie loved to read and adored her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Menius Karriker and brother, Jimmie Menius.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Lloyd O. Casper of Salisbury; daughters, Teresa Casper Abernethy (fiancé Eddie Peeler) of Cleveland, NC and Linda Casper Miller (Jeff) of Richfield, NC; grandchildren, Mattison Miller, April Abernethy and Kristina Abernethy.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
