Catherine Calamari

Cathrine Carrie Calamari, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1957 in Chicago, IL. Cathy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family. She was an independent, hardworking woman who loved to laugh. She was married to Christopher Calamari for 36 wonderful years, creating a life together filled with joy and cherished memories. She had the best sense of humor. She was the life of the party, lover of music, cooking, laundry, surprising people, giving gifts, the mountains, the beach, word searches, and making lists. Cathy also loved animals, especially her dogs Molly and Mona. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world.

Cathrine is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Calamari; sons, Shea Frank of Chicago IL, and Andrew (Laura) Calamari of Kannapolis, NC; daughters, Jessica (Michael) Storts of Pickerington, OH, Kristin (Peter) Jensen of Germantown, WI, and Amily Calamari of Salisbury, NC; mother, Gerry Frank of Woodstock, IL; father-in law, Andrew Calamari of Altamonte Springs, FL; sisters Betsy (Mark) Seemiller of Marengo, IL, Carmen Bell of Philadelphia, MS, and Vanessa Ketcher of Memphis, TN; brothers Smokey Frank, Michael Frank, and Billy Frank of Woodstock, IL, Roy Ketcher Jr. and Eric Ketcher of Philadelphia, MS; brother in law Daniel (Karin) Calamari of Greenville, SC and Dominic Calamari of Altamonte Springs, FL; and 10 grandchildren, James, Mya, Madelyn, Juliette, Zander, Hadley, Harper, Madden, Aiden and Leena.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Ketcher; step-father, Ebon William Frank; brother, Timothy Frank; brother, Maxwell Ketcher; brother, Franklin Ketcher; sister Lauren Ketcher; mother-in-law Frances Calamari; and brother- in-Law Louis Calamari.

Cathy’s warmth, love, and joyous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life is planned for a future date.
