Charles Eugene "Gene" Ragan, Jr.

Charles Eugene Ragan, Jr., 62, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Rowan County on June 18, 1958, he was the son of the late Brenda Ann Mabry Hudson and Charles Eugene Ragan, Sr.

Charles worked as a powder coater at Matcor in Welcome, NC. Fishing was his life, and he enjoyed riding motorcycles and the beach. He was simple but content with life and took it as it was.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Ragan and son-in-law, Nate Setzer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Margaret Harrison Ragan, whom he married on February 14, 1987; daughters, Natisha Ragan of Salisbury, Charlotte Ragan (Brandon) of Landis, Angela Setzer of Salisbury, and Kimberly Rogers (Joshua) of Salisbury; brothers, Barry Wayne Ragan (Ellen) of Salisbury and Michael Ragan of Salisbury; sister, Carolyn Heath (Bill) of Salisbury; special brother-in-law, Bobby Harrison; many nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
