Clyde Sullivan Lippard Jr went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2024, at the age of 90.
He was born on February 4, 1933, in Rowan County to the late Clyde Lippard Sr and Lola Livengood. He is a graduate of Woodleaf High School and Salisbury Business College. Clyde was also a US Army Veteran.
Mr. Lippard worked earlier in his life for Bamby Bakery, eventually becoming a manager, until Bamby moved to High Point and then he became an insurance agent and Secretary Treasurer for Rowan Mutual. He was a member of the South River Church and was active in all church phases. He also loved farming.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Eric Sullivan Lippard; his sister Virginia Kinley; and his brother Homer Lippard.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Roselyn Snyder Lippard; his son Michael Clyde Lippard (Lori) of Woodleaf; his daughters, Linda Lippard Iddings (Joe) of Stanley and Lisa Lippard Hodge of Woodleaf; his 4 grandchildren, Kelli Abernethy (David), Brent Iddings (Maeghan), Zach Powell (Cheyenne) and Breanna Hauser (Tanner); and his 5 great-grandchildren, Madi Abernethy, Brooks Abernethy, Avery Iddings, Reece Iddings, and Emberly Powell.
Visitation will be from 2:30-3:30 pm on Thursday January 4, 2024, at South River Church, 2880 S River Church Rd, Woodleaf, NC 27054.The funeral service will be at 3:30 pm. Officiating will be Rev Glenn Sellers and Tim Kelty. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
