Dale Dempsey Howell

Dale Dempsey Howell passed away on September 17, at the age of 72

He was born on January 4, 1953, in Cabarrus County to the late Dessie Rhinehardt and Edward Tombs Howell.

Dale was a 1971 graduate of Central Cabarrus. He worked for many years on the grounds crew of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He loved fishing and watching Hallmark movies.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Thelma Crowell and his brother Edward Howell.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years Tammy Bell Howell; son Darrell Howell (Bobbi); brother Marshall (Missy); sisters Ella Walters (King) and Mattie Allman (Gary); as well as three grandchildren, Levi Howell, Shaelyn Howell, and Lauren Bennett.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday September 27, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146, conducted by Rev. Dr. Steve Holshouser. There will be a receiving of family and friends at the home of Darrell Howell at other times.
