Dale Allen Thompson, age 73, of Lancaster, SC, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, after a brave battle with illness.
He was born on Aug. 5, 1952 in Las Vegas, NV, to Zander Dale Thompson and Patricia Lee Mings. Dale grew up with a love of horseback riding with his grandpa in Las Vegas. He graduated from Western High School in Las Vegas and went on to serve in the Military. He proudly served in the Army, stationed in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After discharge from the Army, he married his first wife, Gail. They were the proud parents of four boys. He built his own business and a fulfilling career as a window tinter at Always Cool Window Tinting in Las Vegas, where he was known for his work ethic, and sense of humor.
On July 4, 1986, he married his “square dance partner for life”, Ronde Temple. Together, they shared 40 years of marriage filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Dale was a dedicated father to Christian, Josh, Micah, and Jared, and stepfather to Laurelle, Dana, and Aaron. He was also a proud grandfather to Corinne, Mary, Anthony, Olive, Mariah, and Abigail, as well as, Chaison, Landon, and Addyson, Brady and Tatum, and great-grandfather to Luna Sky. His family was his greatest joy, and he never missed an opportunity to tell a funny story or joke.
He was an avid photographer, and spent his free time hiking and enjoying the wonders of nature. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dale leaves behind his wife, Ronde Thompson; his children, his stepchildren, his grandchildren, his great-grandchild, and his siblings, Jim Sherman, Craig Thompson, Vicky Roche, and Terry Jackson and a lifetime of beautiful memories. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on July 20, 2026 at 10:am at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 1900 Veterans Memorial, Boulder City, NV. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
