Dana Leroy Davis

It is with extreme sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our precious Dana, a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and friend. Dana passed away Sunday January 22, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House after a 2 year battle with liver disease. Her devoted husband Gregory never left her side.

Dana was born in Lexington KY and moved to North Carolina at the age of two. She was a graduate of South Rowan High School and attended Rowan Tech and the University of NC in Wilmington. She worked the past 14 years for the Rowan County School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mildred Slone, a brother, Roy Douglas, a sister, Diane Mishak, and a niece, Amber Nieves.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Gregory Davis, Two sons Dustin and Harley Davis, a Grandson Konnor James Davis, two sisters, Donna Blizzard (Harold), Barbara Knudsen, a niece Tiffany Valois (Jesus), three great nephews Tony, Cristian and David, a great niece Serena, a nephew in law Mariano and her devoted canine companion T-Bone.

Dana’s greatest pleasure and sometimes frustration was her family. She continued to love us all unconditionally! The joy of her life was her Grandson Konnor! He will forever have his guardian angel Lolli watching over him!

Our family would like to publicly thank a dear family friend, Peggy Fraley for being there with Dana and Greg throughout this difficult time. You are a Godsend.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
