Daniel Lloyd Ruble

Daniel Lloyd Ruble went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 30, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Dan was born to the late Milton and Ruth Ruble on November 21, 1962. He graduated from East Rowan High School in 1981 where he played football and ran track.

He married Manda Shelby on May 21, 1983. They were blessed with Ryan and Laura.

Dan graduated from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration in 1993. He was also a licensed electrician since 1994. He began his career with Duke Power/Duke Energy in 1983 and worked there for 40 years.

Dan was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director and Teacher. He loved his Lord and was faithful to the end.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gary Allison and father-in-law, Hubert Shelby.

Dan is survived by his wife, Manda Ruble; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Ashley Ruble; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Dwight Loflin; granddaughters, Landyn Ruble and Callie Loflin; mother-in-law, Peggy Shelby. He is also survived by his sister, Amy Allison; brother and sister-in-law, William and Shirley Ruble and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2300 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the church with Pastor Dale Kinley officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144.

Dan desired any monetary donations be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Playground Fund, 2300 Bringle Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146.
