Darrell Loflin

E. Darrell Loflin passed away at the Salisbury VA Medical Center on June 04, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on September 23, 1947.

Darrell was a 1965 graduate of Boyden High School. He worked as an environmentalist for Cabarrus County and was a US Army Veteran. Darrell was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church and an excellent photographer.

He is preceded in death by his brother Gregory Alexander Loflin; son Timothy Darrell Loflin; and stepson Jeffrey Dwight Shuping.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Martha Alexander Shuping Loflin; sons Phillip (Kendra) Loflin of Salisbury and Gregory (Himi) Loflin of Okinawa, Japan; niece Sharlet Seamon of Statesville; grandchildren Melina Loflin, Nicole Bennett, Samantha Isaacson, and Zack Shuping; and seven greatgrandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 on Friday June 12, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2255 E Ridge Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144. The service will follow at 11:00 and will be conducted by Rev. Scott Faw with military honors provided by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
