Deedra B. Blevins, 58, of Salisbury NC, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center due to natural causes.
Born in Salisbury, she was the loving daughter of the late Joan and Billy Benfield. Deedra graduated from West Rowan High School and went on to dedicate her career as a Dietitian for Rowan County Schools where she touched many lives with her care and compassion.
Outside of work, Deedra found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as driving the golf cart for her husband. She loved spending time at the beach, and her heart was always full with the companionship of her cat and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joan and Billy Benfield, and her brother, Phillip Benfield.
Deedra’s legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Gerald Blevins, and their children, Hannah Blevins and Kenny (Kamryn) Blevins. She was a proud grandmother to Andrew Padgett, Mason Goodson, and Isabella Goodson.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Rowan Memorial Park, 4125 Franklin Community Center Rd, Salisbury, NC 28144, conducted by Rev. Dr. Steve Holshouser.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Gerald Blevins or the Blevins family.
Deedra will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for family, friends and animals, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her.
