Donald Eugene Baucom

Donald Eugene Baucom, 84, of Richfield passed away on August 2, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Mecklenburg County on May 25, 1939, he was the son of the late Lena Mae Philemon and Fred Baucom.

Mr. Baucom was an operations manager at Standard Trucking Co. and Wilton Conner for many years. He enjoyed golfing and going fishing on the lake with his family. He was an amazing dad who loved his family and his dog Benny and will be missed deeply.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ashley Baucom, who passed away on January 12, 2017; sons, Donald Eugene Baucom, Jr., David Wayne Baucom; grandson, Bryan Michael Baucom; sisters, Mary, Gladys, Nancy, Joyce, and Gloria.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Pam Baucom (Chip) and Denise Ingram (Rick); grandsons, Mitch Ingram and Tyler Johnston; very special friend and caregiver, Debbie Yearwood; very special friends, Jason and Jeannie Windham.

Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 3760 Stokes Ferry Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227.
