Dorothy Albright Goodman passed away at Liberty Commons on February 18, 2026, at the age of 92.
She was born on July 13, 1933, in Rowan County to the late Rufus Albright and Lacie Goodson Albright.
Dorothy worked as the payroll secretary at Granite Knitwear. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church. She was also a part of the Rowan County Home Extension Group. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother John Albright.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 74 years Harold Goodman; daughter Karen Girdler; son Michael Goodman (Myralyn); four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 pm on Saturday February 21, 2026, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parlor, 205 St Paul Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. A service, conducted by Rev. Mark Ryman, will be at 2:00 pm. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the General Fund of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
