Dorothy (Parks) Rimmer

Dorothy Parks Rimmer, 94, of Salisbury passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at her home.

Born in Richmond, VA on April 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Iva Jones Parks and Charles Martin Parks.

Mrs. Rimmer worked as a winder at Delta Thread Company.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ross M. Rimmer, Sr.; brothers, Robert Parks and Talmadge Parks; sisters, Betty Southers, Grace Earp, and Mable Crouch.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ross Rimmer (Pansy), Danny Rimmer (Kathy), Michael Rimmer (Darry), and Mark Rimmer; daughter, June Shoaf (Donnie); sister, Lucy Weiner; grandchildren, Joey Johnson, Mindy Lemonds, Jason Rimmer, Kristin White, Sarah Moore, Kelley Spears, Susan Kalstrup, Eric Trexler, and Alan Trexler and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Novant Health Rowan Hospice, especially Susan, Kelly, Linwood, and Leslie, for the care they provided to Mrs. Rimmer.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Milford Hills Baptist Church, 1238 E. Colonial Dr, Salisbury, NC 28144, with Pastor Sue Moore and Pastor Gray Clayton officiating.
