Elizabeth Julian Stirewalt, 101, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2021 at the Laurels of Salisbury.
Elizabeth was born in Spencer, NC on May 13, 1920. She was the daughter of Bruner Albert Julian and Bertha Leonhardt Julian. She was educated in Spencer Schools. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company after working there for 43 years.
She was a member of Coburn Memorial United Methodist Church. She was active in many phases of the church. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers and she did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and Crisis Assistance Network.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Lewis Stirewalt of Faith, NC; three brothers, Albert Julian, Wilbur Julian, and James Julian; three sisters, Kathryn J. Earnhardt, Dorothy J. Hardister, and Mildred J. Collins.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
The body will be cremated and at her request, no service will be held.
