Ernest Howard Baker, 96, of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Citadel Nursing Home in Salisbury.

He was born April 17, 1924 in North Carolina.

Ernest was retired from Southern Railway where he was employed for 39 years and 7 months as a blacksmith. He was a WWII Army veteran whose loves in life were his family and his farm.

Preceding Ernest in death was his wife of over 70 years, Lucille Graham Baker.

He is survived by his son, Charlie W. Baker (Mitzi) of Salisbury, grandchildren, Melissa Cowan (Kenny) and Amy Salava (Eric), and great-grandchildren Solomon Reynolds and Jase Salava.
