Ernest Ray Shepherd Sr.

Ernest Ray Shepherd, Sr., 80 of Salisbury, passed away on May 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born April 8, 1941.
 

Parents: the late Ernest Lee Shepherd and Virgie Ludwig Shepherd.

Educated in Rowan County Schools.

Member of Trading Ford Baptist Church.

As long as health permitted, Ernest was active in Miller Ferry Fire Department and Rowan County Bee Keepers.

He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, taking care of his bees and spending time at his vacation home in Lake Placid, Florida.

Preceded in death by 2 sisters:

Sadie Ann Shepherd and Linda Dale Shepherd.

Those left to cherish his memory are:

Wife of 57 years-Patsy Eller Shepherd whom he married on October 20, 1963

Ernest Ray Shepherd, Jr. (Sarah) Lincolnton, N.C.

Daughters:

Cher Shue (Greg) Salisbury, N.C.
Kari Shepherd Salisbury, N.C.
 

Brother:
Nelson Shepherd (Eula)

Grandchildren:

Brett Shepherd, Brandon Shepherd, Garrett Shue, Alyssa Allison, Noah Shepherd, Jason Bell Jr., Nathan Belardino and Ethan Bell.

Great Grandchildren:
Slade Shepherd, Jacob Shepherd and Cooper Shepherd.
